Lemme do a shorter way of blogging about a trip. ;)
We went to Guinness Brewery, it was a self-guided tour. Walk around, we see the stuff they use to produce it (barley, water, hops, yeast). See how they make the cask using ancient tools (which was fucking difficult, probably can only make two in a day). And end of tour, you get a free drink at the Bar. Not much choice there, Soft drinks or a pint of Guinness). Picture summary below :

Interesting fact : Arthur Guinness sign a 9000 year lease for about 100 pounds a year to use this piece of land that they are currently brewing on. 9000 ! ! Yes with 4 Zeros. Guinness is only at their 250th Anniversary.

KarTeng : Your shorter method is not even short. =P
William : Blekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Next we went to a castle, which both of us agree doesn't even look like one. Comparing it to Forbidden City, this is like maybe the 1% of it's size. But the architecture is also great and many interesting facts about it. Visiting Ireland is like visiting Malaysia History, everywhere you go the guides tell you about rebels that tried to fight the British. Sounds like our Sejarah? Of course they are independent now la.

This is a room where ladies wait to be invited by a gentleman into a function. And that thing right in the middle is where the girls hide their face so that their make up won't melt when they warm themselves near the fire place.

Paintings on the ceiling.. yes ceiling..
One of the enjoyable things in Dublin was definitely the food. Something other than boring Manchester Food.
Fish bites and chips. Yes it is from the same shop but different branch. We thought it was different.
Murphy's Stew (Murphy is type of ale).
*not pressing the publish button* (but yet it'll happen)

I'm living in Dublin but haven't been to Elephant and Castle. How's the food? Sedap? ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd where did you guys have the potato pancake?
Hope you guys had a great trip to Dublin.
You should head to the West coast of Ireland on your next trip. Picturesque sceneries :)
